Oh the things you can CREATE!

Good evening, fine people of the internet.

I have to share my recently discovered love. While I have seen this in the past and thought, why would I buy this, I'm pretty sure I can make this (because if you know me, that's what I like to do. I create it if I can!), I always skipped over paying for digital scrapbook paper. Why, I don't know.

1. It's pretty cheap. Really, you can find free stuff out there, but there's some pretty awesome stuff out there too that's only a couple bucks!

2. You have it FOREVER. Well, unless you don't backup your files (ALWAYS BACKUP! The cloud, I have it and I believe in it!) Need 100 copies of a certain pattern, but don't want to buy the packs of paper that have 5 sheets of the pattern you actually need? No problem! You can print as much as your heart desires.

3. The possibilities are ENDLESS. There are so many patterns out there, and like the point above, you will have an endless supply because it's digital!

Take a look on Etsy, it's one place that has quite a few options and where I purchased my first digital packs of scrapbook paper.

I also completely forgot that my printer will print borderless, so that makes it even better.

Most recently, I've made a spring banner and a birthday card. It's amazing how a pattern, even if it's subtle, can make a BIG difference. The birthday card I'll have to share later because it's my for my husband's birthday (SORRY, nice try, I know you're reading!). After it has safely landed at it's destination I'll share that one, as well as the cute card our daughter did for him.

So for now, here is the cute spring banner that has this digital scrapbook paper.

The pattern in this banner is from this digital scrapbook paper pack, Fresh 493 by VNdigitalart on Etsy. There are so many cute patterns in that pack!

Also, whenever the camera comes out, Liv turns into a TOTAL ham, and this usually happens... This girl makes me giggle!

Enjoy, and talk to you soon!

Welcome!

Welcome to my first blog post!

I'm a mom who LOVES crafts. Any crafts I can do with my daughter are even more fun. I like to see her light up when she gets creative!

I'm also a mom who works full time. The mom gig can easily be a full time job in itself (especially when your husband is deployed!) So throw in a full time job and BOOM, where does all the time go?! Somewhere between being a mom AND working I find time to create some pretty awesome things. And I can't wait to start sharing those pretty awesome things with you!

I received my first Cricut (the Explore) for My birthday last year. Oh. My. Gosh. How have I lived my 28 years WITHOUT this thing? I must say, it's a pretty amazing machine. After unpacking it, I literally watched it draw and cut for hours... I mean HOURS. How that fantastic little machine does it, I'll never now.

Feast your eyes on that beauty. If you've never heard of it, you should check it out, seriously. Right here. I'm a firm believer that everyone should have one of these things!

Most of my craft projects will involve that awesome little machine. I've created quite a few things already. From cards, to gift boxes, to banners and t-shirt designs. The possibilities are truly endless!

My first project I'm going to share with you is one that I completed shortly after receiving my Cricut Explore. I made a cute birthday shirt for my daughter.

She had a Frozen theme birthday party at a Gymnastic's place. TONS of fun! Let me tell you, finding a short sleeve shirt in December can be quite the challenge! Old Navy happened to have a few select colors, the navy worked perfect for her frozen theme :)

I ordered the vinyl from Expressions Vinyl. My opinion, the BEST place to order vinyl, very fast processing and shipping time! I ordered white glitter heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and jade glitter HTV. They have various sizes, I went with 12x20, that left plenty of extra for future projects!

Next was the design. I have been using an iPhone app for years that allows you to add text and graphics to your photos. It dawned on me, why don't I try to use that for shirt designs? Well, that my friends was a genius idea! Rhonna Designs is by far, one of my favorite iPhone apps. They also have an online store where you can purchase the same things for your PC. I believe the app is $1.99. It comes with quite a few things with the option to buy extra packs. Totally worth it, I'm pretty sure I own all of the extras!

I hope you enjoy, and I can't wait to share my future projects with you all!
